Distribution Center – VRC<\/h3>

Advanced Handling Solutions worked with a Large Retailer on a TURN KEY<\/strong> project in a Distribution Center.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Challenge -<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>The Customer was using a pallet gate on the edge of their Mezzanine to lift products up to the Mezzanine by Forklift. They had ongoing changes to their equipment which was going to no longer allow their forklifts access to the Mezzanine Gate. They came to AHS with this challenge and asked for our solution.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Advanced Handling Solution<\/em><\/strong> -<\/strong><\/span> The best way to lift material Up and Down between different floor levels is a Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor, and we proposed a VRC for this application. However, it was not as simple as putting a VRC on the edge of their Mezzanine. The location of the customer's equipment did not allow for the VRC to be installed on the edge of their Mezzanine which meant we had to go through the floor of the Mezzanine with this VRC. AHS offered a Turk Key solution to the customer, which included the temporary structure to support the floor while cutting the concrete and roof deck, the cutting of the concrete and roof deck, framing the new opening and fabrication and installation of permanent structure to support the new opening, engineering review and design on the Mezzanine support structure and mechanical and electrical installation of the new VRC.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
